Competition Terms and Conditions

Scubadive West's photography competitions are strictly amateur. We will not consider entries from anyone who is currently selling their photos or who has in the past sold their photos. Enforcement of this rule is entirely at the discretion of the competition organisers.

Any photo submission into either category must have been taken by the applicant themselves.
Scubadive West competitions are not open to staff of Scubadive West, their immediate family members or associated companies including (but not limited to) the competition promotional partner.
Prizes are non transferable and will only be awarded to the winner.
No cash alternative will be awarded in lieu of stated prize.
If, due to circumstances beyond its control, a prize becomes unavailable Scubadive West reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal value.
Use of a false name, email or postal address by a competition entrant will disqualify them from receiving any prize.
Scubadive West reserves the right to change prize details without notice and all prizes, including holiday travel dates and course dates are subject to availability. Acceptance of the prize constitutes permission to use the relevant winner's name, hometown and likeness for purposes of advertising, promotion or publicity in any media without additional compensation. With regard to photo entries Scubadive West reserves the right to future use of photos on their website without compensation. Scubadive West further reserves the right to print copies of photo entries for the purpose of display and any competition associated advertising and marketing.

Important Upload details

To help prevent problems with picture uploads

• All photograph submissions are to be in JPG format (Joint Photographic Experts Group).
• In order to facilitate uploads, Please restrict the size of uploaded images to 1mb or less.
• Please keep the naming convention used for the picture to a maximum of 10 characters and to only contain letters and numbers with no other characters

Entrance into Scubadive West competition constitutes permission to use the entrant's contact details for further promotional activities within Scubadive West and its promotional partners.
Scubadive West competitions are only open to individuals of 18 years and over on the launch date of the competition.
Any person found to be in disregard of the above rules will be disqualified automatically.
Scubadive West reserves the right to disqualify any contestant for any reason whatsoever in its sole discretion.
Neither Scubadive West nor its affiliated entities are responsible for printing or typographical errors in any materials relating to Scubadive West promotions; fraudulent, lost, late, misdirected, incomplete or altered entries; or entries which are processed late or incorrectly or are lost due to computer or other technical malfunction.
The Deadline for submission of pictures is Midnight on September-7-2011. No Late entries will be accepted

Scubadive West reserves the right to cancel or modify promotions if fraud or technical failure compromises the integrity of any competition as determined by Scubadive West in its sole discretion.
Neither Scubadive West nor its agents accept any responsibility whatsoever for any death, injury or other damage, loss, expense or liability arising as a result of taking a prize. Nor will Scubadive West have any liability or responsibility for any claim arising in connection with participation in any Scubadive West competition or any of the prizes rewarded.

Participation in Scubadive West competitions denotes acceptance of these terms and conditions and any additional competition specific terms and conditions which may be advertised.
